We have put together a basic training program to build up for the big ride in March. While you can turn up at the ride and wing it and are likely to survive – will you really enjoy it if you can hardly breathe?
We’re assuming in this program that you have done very little cycling before, or haven’t in ages and are looking to ensure that this trip, while challenging, is well within your capabilities. There’s an old saying that you will do fine in any ride – you just need to have done the kilometres.
