Web & Digital Case Study Background

Kwik Kopy’s ‘Bringing your ideas to life’ competition was launched in October 2013, and invited small businesses to submit an entry explaining in 100 words or less why their company needed a new website. Five websites were up for grabs with each prize package valued at $10,000. More than 500 entries were received in total, with 50 finalists reviewed by a panel of internal and external experts.

WA Winner – Pancakes at Carillon

Pancakes at Carillon, a family owned business established in 1983, were one of the five lucky winners of the competition. Owner Greg Martin was keen to raise the business’ online profile and engage with the community through an appealing website.

One of the biggest challenges for Pancakes at Carillon is keeping the business fresh. While all food is prepared fresh daily, they were unable to easily update their previous website to reflect new menu items and seasonal promotions.

During the build process all employees were trained on managing edits through the easy to use content management system so that Greg and his team can make updates effortlessly for new and fresh ingredients that are on sale that day, as well as add new menu items and update pricing.

If Greg ever has a problem or a question about his new website, it’s just a matter of picking up the phone and giving Kwik Kopy a call.

The competition was a great opportunity to help a local business person succeed and improve their current website. We proactively worked with Pancakes at Carillon to complete the job in short space of time, as having a strong presence online was a high priority for Greg since access to the pancake house was impaired by construction in the shopping centre.

Kwik Kopy Canning Vale also printed new business cards, menus, posters and rewards cards for Greg in line with the new website.
