judgesKwik Kopy is pleased to announce the five winners of its ‘Win a Website’ competition.

The competition was launched in October last year, inviting small businesses to submit an entry explaining in 100 words or less why their company needed a new website.

Five websites were up for grabs with each prize package valued at $10,000.

Website Winners

NSW - The Grey Duckling - Vegan cafe and catering business recovering from bushfires
QLD - Worklinks Inc - Horizons College of learning and enrichment
SA - Parkinson’s SA Inc - Charity organisation supporting people affected by Parkinson’s
VIC - Vocal Art Studios - Small business looking to grow online
WA - Pancakes at Carillon - Small business looking to develop social media presence

More than 500 entries were received in total, with 50 finalists reviewed by a panel of internal and external experts including guest judges Matt Forman from Traffika and Ian Krawitz from 10Thousand Feet (pictured above).

Whilst the winners have contrasting businesses they do all share compelling stories and Kwik Kopy is proud to play a part in increasing the online profile of each business and contribute to their business success.

Kwik Kopy Managing Director, David Bell says the company was impressed by the calibre of entries.

“We had a fantastic response from both existing clients and new prospects from among the local communities which our Centres serve right around Australia,” he said.

“As well as building awareness of our product offerings in web and digital, the competition supports our commitment to the success of small business which is really what Kwik Kopy is all about.”

David Bell says that this competition shows that Australian small business now require quality web and digital assets more than ever before.

“Whilst we maintain a keen focus on our core business of print, we have expanded our offerings to include a range of digital services to become a complete marketing services partner to our small business customers,” he said.

Kwik Kopy aims to be the market leader in print and digital by 2018.

About The Winners

The Grey Duckling – working with Kwik Kopy Penrith (NSW)

After the bushfires hit the Blue Mountains in NSW, vegan cafe and catering company The Grey Duckling (Katoomba NSW) lost 80% of its clientele. A revamped website will help the company find a new clientele as well as share its many recipes and ideas with the local community.

Worklinks Inc – working with Kwik Kopy Geebung (QLD)

Worklinks Inc is a not-for-profit organisation in South East Queensland assisting vulnerable and at-risk young people to engage in positive learning employment and lifestyle choices. In April, the company will open the doors of Horizons College of Learning and Enrichment, a non-state school for the entire Moreton region, available to at-risk young people for whom mainstream high school education is not suitable. The organisation will rely heavily on donations and a website will raise awareness of the college. In the longer term, it is hoped a website with content management system can be used as a learning tool for students.

Parkinson’s SA Inc – working with Kwik Kopy Norwood (SA)

Parkinson’s SA is the South Australian division of Parkinson’s Australia supporting people affected by Parkinson’s disease (80,000 in total throughout Australia). An engaging and easy-to-use website will play a vital role in helping people with Parkinson’s connect with each other as well as learning more about and understand their condition and how to manage symptoms. Website content will include details of the latest research and information about where to turn to for help. The company also relies heavily on donations and grants and a new website will assist in raising awareness of their work.

Vocal Art Studios – working with Kwik Kopy Moonee Ponds (VIC)

Since the company started in 2003, the owner has run her own website. Working with Kwik Kopy Moonee Ponds will bring the website (and business) up to speed with effective web design as well as the latest technology and social media. Keeping costs down whilst raising the company profile is essential to keeping the doors of a small business open. Cleverly crafted copy will be used using keywords and search engine optimisation to ensure maximum results.

Pancakes at Carillon – working with Kwik Kopy Canning Vale (WA)

This Western Australian pancake house is keen to raise the profile of its business and engage with the community through an appealing website and the effective use of promotions and an ongoing social media presence to keep them relevant and the number one choice with clientele.
