winners of the Kwik Kopy Franchise of the Year awardKwik Kopy Bourke Street owned by husband and wife team Andrew and Felicity Sladen, has been crowned winner of the 2018 Franchise of the Year award. The presentation was made at the Kwik Kopy Sales Summit held in Sydney in late March.

This national award run annually by Kwik Kopy Australia recognises top performing Centres that rank in the top quartile in sales, profit and production efficiency as well their ongoing contribution to the Kwik Kopy community.

Kwik Kopy Australia Managing Director, David Bell commended Owners Andrew and Felicity on their commitment to the Kwik Kopy franchise system, exceptional customer service and growth mindset. “Kwik Kopy Bourke Street first opened as a greenfield start-up 22 years ago with zero sales. From Day One Andrew and Felicity have been rigorous followers of the Kwik Kopy system, embracing new products, services and technologies to bring their customers the very best print marketing solutions.”

David says that quick adoption of new technology, systems and innovation is essential for businesses to thrive in today’s market. “Andrew and Felicity have always been early adopters and are enthusiastic users of Print Speak where they have 24/7 access to data, tools and business intelligence to help drive sales.” Kwik Kopy Bourke Street Owners, Andrew and Felicity say that access to technology is one of the many benefits to being part of a national franchise community. “We have seen the industry go through changes over the years, but we have always been able to trust our franchisor to anticipate market demands and develop the tools we need to successfully adapt,” they said.

Kwik Kopy Bourke Street Owners Andrew and Felicity also emphasised the key role staff play when it comes to building a successful business. “This award is also a reflection on our hard-working team who make a valuable contribution every day,” they said. “We believe that good communication and transparency is key and hold regular meetings to ensure all staff are aware of sales figures and business goals. We also run a staff incentive scheme to that everyone can share in profit over performance through a monthly bonus scheme.”

David agrees that Andrew and Felicity’s successful relationship management with their staff is a key component of Kwik Kopy Bourke Street’s success. “By making it a priority to invest in a structured training program and incentive scheme, Andrew and Felicity have built a hard-working, loyal six-strong team. In fact, staff member Kerry has been with them for over 20 years.”

“They believe that empowered staff have the best job satisfaction and deliver the best customer experience. And at the end of the day, if you’re looking to run a successful business – that’s exactly what it’s all about!”
